Annona glabra is a tree widely distributed throughout tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas and Africa. Its fruits are fleshy, ovoid syncarps containing approximately 125 seeds. These seeds measure 15.22 ± 1.35 mm in length, 9.13 ± 0.78 mm in width, and 4.85 ± 0.21 mm in thickness, with a fresh weight of 0.29 ± 0.10 g and a moisture content of 18.43 ± 1.21 %. The embryo is linear and underdeveloped, and the seeds exhibit morphological and morphophysiological dormancy. Germination is photoblastic indifferent, with an optimum temperature of 25/30 °C, beginning at approximately 15 days and reaching about 70 % by 35 days. The seeds show intermediate storage behavior and are very sensitive to low temperatures during prolonged storage.
